The Green Meeting Council (GMIC) Offset Fund

The Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC) is partnering with Offsetters Climate Neutral Society to offset the 2008 Greening the Hospitality Industry Conference. Offsetters is a provider of solutions for individuals and companies that wish to address the climate impact of their meetings, lifestyle and operations.

A lot has been done to reduce the climate impact of this conference but there is always a residual carbon footprint from the venue and from bringing delegates to the event from across the globe.

We have estimated that the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the GMIC conference will be approximately .75 tonnes of carbon dioxide per delegate.

GMIC invites you to support a more energy efficient, green-powered world by offsetting your conference participation.

Your donation of $15 (plus GST for Canadian delegates) will offset the average emissions caused by delegate travel, lodging, meals and event activities.
